Banking
an Incline
Historically inclines have always attracted the enthusiast
as they are the place to hear an engine working really hard.
We visit the infamous Lickey Incline and see that modern locos
still need a helping hand.
Yellow
Doctor
Network Rail has introduced a special track testing train
nicknamed the Yellow Doctor, that travels all over the country
taking thermal imagery, ultra soundings and lots of other
clever things, we take a ride with it.
Community Branchlines
The Strategic Rail Authority have launched a new initiative
to promote local community involvement in helping to run rural
branch lines. We visit the Bittern line from Norwich to Cromer
to see how local organisations have been encouraged to adopt
their local stations.

Every May the RHD run a parallel parade gala where two double-headed
locos “race” each other to Dungeness lighthouse .
